How to move a singleplayer world to a Minecraft server
Add the singleplayer world's folder on the server's "World" tab in ProximaClient and make it active: the server starts in your world with all its builds, the Nether and the End.
Steps
- Stop the server, open it in ProximaClient and go to the "World" tab.
- Drag the world folder (or its
.ziparchive) onto the tab, or click "Add world" and, in the "From your Minecraft" list, click "To server" next to the world you want, or pick the folder with "Choose folder". Singleplayer worlds are in%appdata%\.minecraft\saves: paste this path into the File Explorer address bar. - On the world you want, click "Set as active".
- Start the server.
Check it: join the server, and you'll be in your own world.
What to keep in mind
- The server version has to match the version the world was created in, or be newer. A newer version upgrades the world, and the old version can no longer open it, so save a copy of the world first.
- If the world was created with mods, install the same mods on the server. Data packs live in the world folder and move along with it.
- To take the world back to singleplayer, copy its folder from the server back into
%appdata%\.minecraft\saves. On Paper, Purpur and Folia the Nether and the End are stored separately: before copying, move theDIM-1folder from<world>_netherand theDIM1folder from<world>_the_endinto the world folder.
