Where do I download ProximaClient?​

From the download page. The app is free and runs on Windows.

Is it safe?​

A tunnel opens to other people only the address in its "Destination address" field, and only while the tunnel is on: the pause icon on the tunnel card closes access. Download ProximaClient only from the download page.

You can let only your own addresses into a tunnel with an IP list.

You can close an https:// link with a login and password.

How do I expose a local server to the internet without a public IP?​

Create a tunnel in ProximaClient to the server's port and send people the address the app shows. You need no public IP and no port forwarding on your router. The steps are on the start page.

How do I open a UDP port?​

Create a tunnel in ProximaClient and pick UDP in "Protocol": no port forwarding on your router is needed. An address like 203.0.113.10:41234 appears on the tunnel card once it connects. The steps are on the start page.

How do I open a Minecraft server to my friends?​

For Minecraft: Java Edition, create the server in ProximaClient and tick "Create a public tunnel for this server": once it's running, the app shows the address for your friends (guide). If you run a Java server yourself, create a TCP tunnel to its port, usually 25565. ProximaClient doesn't create Bedrock servers: start one yourself and create a UDP tunnel to localhost:19132 (Bedrock guide).
