"no connection to ProximaMP: check the internet and try again"
The command could not reach ProximaMP: check that this computer has internet access and run it again. The exit code is 4.
What to do
-
Check this computer's internet access: the answer must have an
HTTP/line.curl -I https://proximamp.com # Linuxdocker run --rm curlimages/curl -I https://proximamp.com # a Docker container reports the errorcurl.exe -I https://proximamp.com -
If the internet works and a tunnel command (
tcp, udp, http, https,up) reports the error, the ProximaMP server the tunnel opens on may be down: run the command again in a few minutes. To see whether planned maintenance or an outage is under way, check the news. -
If the
curlfrom step 1 works but the tunnel command doesn't, run it from another network, for example your phone's hotspot. If it works there, a firewall or corporate network lets only HTTPS through: ask the network's administrator to allow this computer's outgoing connections to ProximaMP's servers. To learn which connections are needed, click "Ask a question" at the bottom of the page. -
Run the command again. In a script, retry on exit code 4 after a pause: the error is usually temporary.
If that didn't help
Click "Ask a question" at the bottom of the page and include the exact error text, the output of proximamp version and when the error appeared.
