How to set up ProximaClient: language, tray and notifications

Open "Settings" in the app menu. Every setting is saved at once.

General​

  • "Interface language" is Russian or English: the app's texts, the date format and the language of notifications.
  • "ProximaMP Russian mirror" is on from the start: the app downloads Minecraft cores and Java from the ProximaMP mirror, because the official sites may not open from Russia. Turn the setting off to download only from the official sites.
  • "Use the AI assistant to analyze errors" changes nothing for now: AI error analysis isn't working, and the "AI" button in the server console shows "AI assistant is unavailable".

Since app version 1.1.0

  • "Minimise to tray on close" is on from the start: the close button hides the window in the notification area, and tunnels and servers keep running. Quit the app from the tray icon's menu. Turn the setting off to make the close button exit the app.

Notifications​

On the "Notifications" tab, turn on the ones you need: they all start off.

  • "Servers": "Player joined the server", "Player left the server", "Server started" (players can connect now), "Server stopped" (by you or after a crash), "Scheduler task fired".
  • "Tunnels": "Tunnel address changed", "Tunnel disconnected", "High tunnel latency" (the tunnel moved to a node with a higher delay) and "Tunnel traffic quota" (the traffic package is nearly or completely used up).

Privacy​

"Anonymous usage statistics" sends ProximaMP the app's version, the system, the interface language and which games and cores servers are created for; it holds no server names, player nicknames or game content. After your first sign-in the app asks whether to allow it, and here you can turn it on or off.

Check​

Change the "Interface language": the app's texts switch to the chosen language at once.
